How to Change Your Wakey Pure Fibre Wi-Fi Name & Password
Your Wakey Pure Fibre service includes a pre-configured Wi-Fi network. The default Wi-Fi name (SSID) and password can be found on the label attached to your router or fibre equipment.
If you’d like to personalize your Wi-Fi network name or password, follow the steps below.
Option 1: Using a Web Browser
Some fibre equipment supports local management through a web browser.
- Connect to your Wakey Wi-Fi network.
- Open a web browser.
- Navigate to:
http://192.168.1.254
- Sign in using the administrator credentials printed on your equipment label.
- Navigate to the Wi-Fi or Wireless Settings section.
- Update the:
- Network Name (SSID)
- Wi-Fi Password
- Save your changes.
Your router may take up to a minute to apply the new settings.
Forgot Your Wi-Fi Password?
The default Wi-Fi network name and password are located on the label attached to your router or fibre equipment.
If you previously changed your Wi-Fi password and no longer remember it, a factory reset may be required.
Factory Reset
- Locate the RESET button on the router.
- Press and hold using a paperclip for approximately 45–60 seconds.
- Allow 5–10 minutes for the router to fully restart.
Your Wi-Fi settings will revert to the defaults printed on the equipment label.
