Using Your Own Modem or Router
Wakey includes a complimentary modem and router loan with every active internet subscription.
Depending on inventory, equipment may be new or certified refurbished (Grade A, B, or C) — all units are fully tested and verified for performance.

We understand that some customers prefer to use their own modem or router — and that’s perfectly fine!
If you choose to bring your own equipment, please send a clear, legible photo of the modem’s label of the Model information, Serial Number and MAC address and the current firmware of the modem to our Customer Service team for compatibility verification before placing an order.

Any equipment below DOCSIS 3.1 (including DOCSIS 3.0 models) is now grandfathered and no longer eligible for new activations, service moves, or plan changes — as per CRTC regulations and our last-mile vendor, Rogers.

When supplying your own hardware, Wakey cannot provide warranty coverage, guarantees, or technical support for third-party equipment.

Any service issues found to be caused by customer-owned or maintained hardware remain the customer’s responsibility.
