Wakey’s Service Fee Guide
Below is an outline of Wakey Internet's Service Fee Guide, designed to ensure transparency and alignment with the costs incurred from our last-mile vendors for specific activities and modifications to your services.
Please note, the fees listed are typically prepaid and will be reflected on your Wakey Internet Subscription bill. Taxes applicable to your service address are not included in this guide.
- Activation/Outlet Installation/Active-Transfer: $49. *If waived ($55 - $100+ Value), Wakey will retro-actively bill the $49 activation charge upon cancellation of your Wakey Internet Plan is cancelled within 180 days from date of activation, keeping Wakey Affordable and Accessible for all Canadians. Applies to new Wakey Internet Subscriptions from January 15, 2025 onward.
- Security Deposit: $60. *Returned upon all hardware, including all the necessary cables being returned in working, good condition.
- Outlet Relocation: $79 *Includes technician visit.
- Reactivation (For accounts cancelled within the past 90 days): $49.
- Address Change (Move Fee): $49. *Includes technician visit if deemed necessary.
- Modem Swaps (On loaned hardware): No charge.
- Speed Changes (Upgrades or downgrades): $12.
- Suspension/Restore Fee (If payment is 7 days beyond due date*): $24.
- Unreturned Modem Loan (If not returned within 15 days): $120.
- Unreturned Beacon Loan (If not returned within 15 days): $60.
- Dispute Chargeback Recovery Fee: $45.
- Shipping Fee: $15 (does not include returns; charged after initial shipment included)
- Missing Power Cable or Ethernet Cable: $15.
- NSF (Non-sufficient Funds) via Direct Debit: $45.
- Re-Shipment Fee (due to unclaimed hardware): $25.
For overdue accounts, please be aware that an interest of 22% per annum will be applied to the outstanding balance.
